Working in Dallas

Dallas ground is mixed. Inside Loop 12 you're dealing with tight lots, old structures, and city code. Out past the northern edge it's blackland prairie, scattered cedar, and pasture that's been let go. We work all of it: residential tear-outs, pad site prep for custom builds, and acreage clearing on the city's rural fringe.

What's different about the ground here

Blackland prairie clay is what most of Dallas County sits on, and it's one of the most reactive soils in the country. It shrinks in drought and swells in rain, which is how slabs crack and foundations shift. That's why grading, drainage, and fill are as important as clearing. Anybody moving dirt in Dallas without respecting the clay is setting up a foundation problem for the owner.
